Description of Services
Katie Stokes of Unleash Your Higher Self (“Practitioner”) provides intuitive energy healing services intended to support clients in identifying and releasing underlying energetic, emotional, and belief-based imbalances that may contribute to physical, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Sessions may include emotional clearing, brain integration support, and energy balancing techniques designed to promote greater clarity, regulation, and well-being.
Education and Experience
Practitioner holds a PhD in Child Development from Stanford University and has over a decade of experience in intuitive energy healing. Her work integrates scientific understanding with spiritual principles and has supported hundreds of children and adults in achieving greater calm, focus, vitality, and resilience.
Scope of Practice
Practitioner is not a licensed medical or mental health provider. She does not diagnose, treat, or cure medical or psychological conditions, nor prescribe medications. Services are complementary in nature and are not a substitute for licensed medical, psychological, or psychiatric care. Clients are encouraged to consult with and continue care under appropriate licensed healthcare providers.
No physician-patient, therapist-client, or similar professional relationship is created by participation in services. Practitioner makes no guarantees regarding outcomes.
Payment Terms
Clients may either:
- Pay in full at the time of booking, or
- Reserve an appointment by placing a valid credit or debit card on file, in which case the card will be charged after the appointment.
All payments made are final and non-refundable once an appointment is booked, regardless of when cancellation occurs. Clients may reschedule with proper notice in accordance with the Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy; however, refunds will not be issued for any reason.
If a Client reserves an appointment by placing a card on file, the card may be charged in accordance with these Terms, including charges related to late cancellations or missed appointments.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Client agrees not to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with their bank or credit card provider for any fees charged in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to session fees, late cancellation fees, or missed appointment fees.
In the event of a chargeback or payment dispute, Client agrees to contact Practitioner directly to resolve the matter in good faith.
If a chargeback is initiated for a charge that is valid under these Terms, Client agrees to remain responsible for the full amount due, including any fees incurred by Practitioner as a result of the dispute, to the extent permitted by law.
Practitioner reserves the right to suspend or refuse future services in the event of a payment dispute or chargeback.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Practitioner reserves dedicated time for each scheduled appointment. To ensure fairness and availability for all clients, the following policy applies:
- Appointments may be rescheduled with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice using the rescheduling link provided in the booking confirmation email.
- Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time will be considered a late cancellation and are non-refundable.
- Failure to attend a scheduled appointment (by phone, Zoom, or in-person), or failure to connect or arrive within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, will be considered a missed appointment and will result in forfeiture of the full session fee.
If payment has not yet been processed, the card on file will be charged in accordance with this policy.
Appointment Procedures
Phone Appointments
Practitioner will call the phone number provided at the scheduled start time. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure the correct number is provided and that they are available. If the Client does not answer, Practitioner will attempt contact via text or voice message. If connection is not established within 10 minutes, the appointment will be considered missed.
Zoom Appointments
Practitioner will join the Zoom session at the scheduled start time using the link provided at booking. Client must join within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time or the appointment will be considered missed.
In-Person Appointments
Clients are responsible for arriving on time. Late arrival does not extend the session beyond the scheduled end time.
If Practitioner is providing services at the Client’s location and is delayed, she will either extend the session to fulfill the full scheduled duration or adjust the fee on a pro-rated basis.
Client Responsibility and Risk Acknowledgement
Client acknowledges that participation in energy healing may result in temporary emotional or physical sensations, including but not limited to fatigue, mood shifts, or physical discomfort as the body adjusts. Client assumes full responsibility for participation and for any decisions made based on information provided during sessions.
Any suggestions related to nutrition, supplementation, or natural remedies are educational in nature. Client assumes full responsibility for use and is encouraged to consult a licensed healthcare provider prior to beginning or adjusting any supplement or dietary regimen.
Confidentiality
All sessions are confidential, subject to the limitations and exceptions of confidentiality governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the State of Texas.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
