The Crossinology Brain Integration Technique (BIT) is a gentle, non-invasive process that helps your brain function the way it was designed to: efficiently, harmoniously, and with ease.
By “resetting” and reconnecting pathways, BIT removes hidden glitches that keep you or your child stuck in patterns of stress, struggle, or imbalance.
Why ‘Neuroscience Meets Healing’?
Brain Integration combines what modern neuroscience teaches us about how the brain communicates with the wisdom of energy-based healing.
The science explains the circuits and pathways; the healing tools gently reset and reconnect them. Together, they create lasting changes in how you think, learn, and feel.
BIT supports children, teens, and adults with:

Learning Challenges
Including ADHD, dyslexia, and difficulties with reading, writing, or math

Focus and Processing
Trouble with attention, memory, or processing speed

Emotional Regulation
Struggles with anxiety, anger, or feeling easily overwhelmed

Motor & Neurological Function
Including dyspraxia, tics, and fine or gross motor delays

Physical Sensitivities
Concerns with an energetic or neurological root, such as allergies or food sensitivities

Brain Injury Support
Including concussions, TBI, and lingering effects from head injuries
The heart of Brain Integration Technique is transformation.

Brain Integration Technique (BIT) does not ask the brain to change through repetition, effort, or willpower. Instead, BIT uses gentle muscle testing and acupoints to identify where the brain and nervous system are holding stress, disconnection, or inefficient patterns.
The goal is not to force the brain to work harder. The goal is to help the brain work with more ease.
Gentle Muscle Testing
BIT uses muscle testing to identify which brain pathways are under stress or not communicating clearly.
Acupoint Mapping + Gentle Head Holds
BIT uses specific acupoints to identify where stress is being held in the brain and nervous system. Gentle head holds are then used to support blood flow, calm the stress response, and help reset inefficient patterns.
No Daily Exercises
BIT does not rely on worksheets, drills, machines, medications, or repetitive exercises.
Addresses Deeper Stressors
BIT looks beneath the symptoms to address stress, trauma, emotional patterns, environmental influences, inherited patterns, and other hidden stressors that may be affecting learning, focus, emotional regulation, and coordination.
Supports Lasting Change
Once the brain experiences a clearer, easier pathway, it tends to choose that more efficient route naturally. Over time, this can support more ease, balance, and confidence in everyday life.
The Crossinology Brain Integration Technique was developed by Susan McCrossin, whose book Breaking the Learning Barrier shares both the science behind this work and the stories of transformation it has created.
What Sessions Feel Like
Brain Integration sessions are done in person in the greater Austin, TX area.
Sessions are gentle, safe, and deeply relaxing. You or your child will remain fully clothed, lying comfortably on a treatment table. I use muscle testing to identify stressed pathways and light touch on specific points of the head and body to restore flow.
Children often settle in easily with a toy, book, or music. Adults describe the work as grounding, calming, and soothing.
Many clients notice immediate changes in how they focus, feel, or respond to stress, while others experience shifts that unfold gradually in the weeks after, as new brain connections strengthen.

Common Experiences After BIT
People often share that life feels noticeably easier. For example:
- Learning feels lighter: Children who struggled with schoolwork begin to absorb information more quickly. With support, they can catch up on skills that once felt out of reach.
- Daily life flows better: Adults often say they feel less drained, more resilient, and able to keep up with life’s demands.
- Teachers and parents notice the difference: It’s common to hear feedback like “it’s as if a light switch turned on” or “my child is calmer and more focused.”
Monica, age 12
“Before we started Brain Integration, my daughter had a very rough 5th and 6th grade experience. She was struggling socially, very underconfident, and even mildly depressive. Academically, she was struggling too. Everything felt like it was bringing her down, and she was just going through all of these different challenges and really struggling.” — Monica’s mom
Before beginning Brain Integration, Monica experienced challenges across multiple areas. She struggled socially, had low confidence, and found learning difficult and discouraging.
Initial assessment indicated reduced integration between the two hemispheres of the brain, impacting coordination, learning, and processing. She had not… READ MORE
Clara, age 15
“Clara is a totally different child this year compared to last year. She is thriving at school, both academically and socially.” — Clara’s mom
Before beginning Brain Integration, Clara struggled with slow processing speed and qualified for special education support at school. Learning felt effortful, tests triggered significant anxiety, and she had developed a strong dislike for school. Socially, she found it difficult to make friends and often appeared less mature than her peers.
Initial assessment showed reading comprehension at 45% on a 3rd grade level passage. Working memory was also on the lower end for her age (5 digits forward, 4 backward). She placed significant pressure on herself and became easily frustrated when… READ MORE
Session Guidelines: What to Know Before You Come
- Arrive nourished and comfortable. Eat beforehand and bring healthy snacks if needed.
- Stay hydrated. Water supports the healing process and helps the brain integrate more smoothly.
- Bring comfort for kids. A favorite toy, book, or soft music helps children relax (note: electrical items may not touch the body during treatment).
- Dress for ease. Wear something comfortable; you’ll remain fully clothed during the session.
